TATAMIZE is a Japanese fashion label founded in 2004 in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, by designer Tsukasa Yaehata, who originally handled design, patterning, cutting, sewing and finishing by hand himself. The brand draws on vintage American and European casual and workwear from the 1930s–1960s as inspiration, and places emphasis on careful material selection, unique silhouettes and detailed construction—often blending elements of military and heritage workwear with thoughtful, handcrafted production.
