Studio D'Artisan is a pioneering Japanese denim and clothing brand founded in 1979 in Osaka by Shigeharu Tagaki, recognised as one of the original “Osaka 5” labels that helped shape Japan’s high-end denim culture. The brand began by reviving traditional selvedge denim production using vintage shuttle looms and developed iconic jeans that pay homage to French and American workwear of the mid-20th century while incorporating its own design interpretation and craftsmanship.
