Hakui
HAKUÏ (often romanised as “Hakui”) is a Japanese workwear-inspired fashion brand launched in 1992 by designer Akira Onozuka in collaboration with Seven Uniform Co., Ltd., a historic Japanese uniform manufacturer dating back to 1952. The label creates functional garments that sit at the intersection of traditional working attire and contemporary fashion, blending practical utility with thoughtful design across pieces such as aprons, shirts, coats and pants. Over its long production history, the brand has been recognised both within professional uniform contexts (including hospitality and service industries) and in fashion circles for its distinctive reinterpretation of “working equipment” as stylish everyday wear.
