Edwin

Edwin is a pioneering Japanese denim and apparel brand founded in 1947 in Tokyo by Tsunemi Yonehachi, with its name derived from a creative rearrangement of the word “denim.” After initially importing American jeans to Japan, Edwin became one of the first companies to manufacture denim locally, and throughout the 20th century it earned a reputation for technical innovation — including early old wash and stone wash processes and iconic heavy‑weight selvedge denim — blending Japanese craftsmanship with a restless spirit of experimentation that has influenced global denim culture.
